I have Verizon, and was wondering if there is any extra fee for having a blackberry. I currently have just a regular verizon cell phone. I don’t have any extra data plans though besides texting. So if I got a Blackberry do you need to pay a data fee or something? Thanks.

I have the same question. I’m using a basic verizon phone, but someone gave me their old blackberry. If I activate it will it automatically add any new services or fees? I know that if you try to get a bb in the store they make you pick a plan, but what if you activate the phone online? I’ve been told by some people that even trying to activate online, the bb automatically connects to the internet so then you’d have some crazy expensive bills. I don’t want any of that extra stuff, I just want to use the phone.

i think if you have a blackberry, you have to have the blackberry data plan which is about 30 extra bucks a month…but im not sure because i dont have a blackberry! if you call verizon though they can tell you all about it.

Yes the data plan for broswer and email is 29.99 a month but enterprise data plan is like 44.99 i think?
The plans are REQUIRED for a blackberry.
